AT&T’s Liberate MiFi Includes a Touchscreen, 11 Hour Battery Life, Need We Say More?

Verizon and AT&T are in all out battle for supremacy, especially since both now carry the iPhone.  However, AT&T just one upped Verizon with their newest MiFi, the Novatel Wireless Liberate.

Okay, so it’s hardly a deciding factor in the war, but in this case, the battle has been won by AT&T.  The Liberate is the first MiFi to include a touchscreen, which as it happens measures 2.8-inches.  If you don’t use a MiFi, there is a good chance you won’t agree or see the upside of such a feature.   If you use one, though, then you know how much of a brain numbing experience it can be to change the settings on a MiFi that doesn’t have a point of input, such as the Liberate.  Of course we haven’t got a ‘hands on’, so for all we know it’s an awful UI, but regardless it should be a folds better experience than the current set of MiFis on the market today.  That said, it boasts a whopping 11 hour battery life, as well as a microSD card slot allowing you to share files (photos, documents, etc) with up to the 10 connected devices.  And yes, it is LTE compatible, so if you’ve got the service in your area you should see some tolerable download and upload speeds.

Sorry, no word on a launch date or a price, but we expect it any day now.
